Flyer For RKW (Summer Job)

Through July and August I worked in the merchandising department of a large local wholesaler (RKW). The page above is part of a leaflet I was given the responsibility of designing and creating. The design was made using Adobe InDesign and some of the images were initially put together in illustrator.

Sketchbook and Research For Unit 1

Si Scott Research

During Unit 1 the project was based around typography, one of the designer's I researched was Si Scott.

Experimental Poster

After researching several graphic designers of different styles I made two posters drawing inspiration from them. This poster has a heavy influence from Jamie Reid and Eduardo Recife.

Logo Development

The final artwork for the unit was a poster for the 'Custard Factory' and had to include a logo. For me, developing the logo was significantly good for my thought process and way of thinking about solutions. It was important to create something bold and recognisable which also demonstrated the core brand values. This was the first time I had pushed myself to think in this way but I feel the end result (bottom right corner) does this effectively.

Final Poster Design For Unit 1

The final poster for Unit 1 was made out of 3D typography then photographed and put together in Adobe Photoshop. Graphic designer/typographer Stefan Sagmiester influenced this piece.

Sketchbook and Research For Unit 2

Susan Burghart Research

Research page based around and inspired by Susan Burghart, I used this designer to think about and consider using similar techniques in my final pieces, i.e. the patterns/swirls created within illustrator or drawn and taken on-screen.

Fashion Illustration For Unit 3 Development/Techniques and Final Pieces

Fashion illustration development from my current A2 graphic design project in which I am creating an advertising campaign for the Clothes Show Live. This piece was created as I was looking into illustration techniques, here I started off with a fashion photography image and then used a light box to depict the main elements of the model in pencil.

Final Designs For Unit 3

The two above images are two out of the three final pieces from my latest project. The campaign was created for The Clothes Show Live and so I took inspiration from fashion illustration and artists such as David Downton. The first is a billboard advertisement and the second is a ticket for the event.
